Jour 6: La résilience...

Day 6: Resilience...

I didn't know where to go today. While discussing with the Cuban who served me my coffee at 5 cents, he convinced me to go in the direction of Baracoa, the first city of Cuba. I meet on my way a filler of disposable lighters. Another brilliant idea from the Cuban people that defies the laws of overconsumption. For 10 cents this nice gentleman refills your lighter. I finally leave Moa, the landscape is so breathtaking that it's polluted. The wind is still present, the road in very bad condition. These nice Cubans give me ice water, that's generous. The landscape is very beautiful despite the impossible climbs. For the first time on the trip, I accept defeat and climb the hills next to my bike. I find a small isolated beach and I reach happiness!!! Small video:

After a little swim, I hit the road again in vlan ... puncture! I fix everything like a grown-up. Thanks to my friend Pep who gave me a mini lesson before leaving. I "patch" the two holes that are present in my inner tube. I hit the road again and buy a bottle of fresh mango juice from a Cuban family. The funny thing is the man of the house had lost the key to the padlock to enter the house, so he had to go through the roof... I hit the road again and wham...another puncture that I happily repair. Life is good, I'm fixing another hole. I finally arrive in Baracoa...I have a beautiful room by the sea. A very nice day. I am well! I am more and more Cuban every day! Let life guide you!
